2015 has been an exciting, and busy year for us at Blade Creative Branding. We’ve been working on client projects, keeping up with the latest news and trends in the industry, and sharing our thoughts, opinions, and successes on the blog from start to finish.
And now, as the year winds down, we’re looking back at 10 of our favourite and most popular posts of 2015. Have a look with us, leave a comment on your favourite post, and be ready for more from Blade in 2016 as we celebrate our 25th anniversary!
Reaching more than 300,000 people online, our biggest in house project of the year, the 12 episode Season One of the Brand Edge web series allowed us to share branding tips and insights, as well as stories from professionals with a variety of experiences and backgrounds.
Watch all 12 episodes online now.
Exclusive to Blade from Geoffrey Reynolds, this 8 part series takes a look at everything from special effects to female character development throughout the Star Wars franchise history. And to top it all off, Geoff gives us his (spoiler free) review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
In October we were proud to announce that we Blade had been nominated for a CAMP Award in the Integration category (online, social media, print) for our work on the Benzagel brand. It has been a lot of hard work and fun working on the brand, and we look forward to continued success in 2016.
In January, Blade President and Chief Creative Officer, Wayne S Roberts took a look at Super Bowl ads for Profit Magazine. Check out his in-depth analysis of the most famous ad spot of the year, every year, and whether he thinks your brand should be paying big for those 30 seconds.
Have a look at the video we produced for Crown Industrial Roofing, their new logo, as well as a newly designed website and you’ll see that Blade took this rebrand from top to bottom, with a glowing response from the client.
In May, we finally found out what the newly redesigned Toronto Raptors jerseys would like like for the 2015-16 season. And for the entire year, this post as been one of our most popular. The internet truly does love a new design from a sports franchise, especially if Drake is involved.
In early 2015, Blade began a complete brand update for Bell Lifestyle Products online presence. We updated the brand’s identity and designed a new website (with full mobile capability), new blog site (Bell-Wellness.com), a new electronic newsletter (fully responsive), and started designing and producing new branded content for the blog and social media platforms in the form of weekly recipes and infographics.
Back in July, Blade Principal and Chief Strategy Officer, Patrick McGovern took a look at the 3 ways that your brand can catch up to the big boys using Pay-Per-Click advertising online. It would probably be a good idea to read this before you start spending in 2016.
Last December we celebrated the release of Ramblin’ Road PUREBRED, and this year we’re excited about the work we did on the creation and design of the brand new UNLEASHED IPA brew being served in Norfolk County. Have a look at the new bottle and try to tell us that you don’t want a taste.
We had a great year working with The Molinaro Group on the Paradigm Condos property in Midtown Burlington. 2 of the biggest highlights were the CHCH Morning Live TV feature (including spots with Vince Molinaro and Wayne S. Roberts), and winning awards for Best Newspaper Ad and Best Newspaper/Magazine/Feature Ad at the Hamilton-Halton Home Builders Association Awards in May.
